More than 20,000 members elect over 550 delegates to the Delegate Assembly, the highest decision-making body within AEA.

The AEA Delegate Assembly is also Arizona's largest democratic deliberative body. In past years, delegates would debate vital issues that impact public education and set Association policy and activities for the years ahead at AEA's Delegate Assembly.
The Arizona Education Association Board of Directors shapes the Committees and Task Force work for AEA to be meaningful for member engagement around relevant issues, as elected by local associations.
We do this collectively in our worksites, in our locals, on the soccer fields, and on the buses. We do this with our neighbors and in our communities. We do this together, because there is strength in numbers.

With more than 20,000 members, the Arizona Education Association (AEA) is the largest professional association for public school employees in Arizona. AEA members are teachers, community college professors, counselors, speech pathologists, bus drivers, secretaries, retired educators and student teachers and they belong to more than 150 local affiliates across Arizona.
