Certified Evaluations and Pay for Performance Plans During COVID-19

The purpose of the advisory, is to ensure that the current evaluation system as described by Arizona Revised Statute (ARS) is adhered to while providing some guidance and best practices regarding details of the evaluation process. This advisory will also address pay for performance (301 Fund12) plans and the impact school closures could have on qualifying for 301 money. Key topics that are impacted by COVID-19 include: the number of formal observations; performance improvement plan due to inadequacy of classroom performance; and Pay for Performance (301) Plan Qualifications.
