Virtual AEA Delegate Assembly – May 7-8, 2021
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the AEA Board of Directors voted on February 6, 2021 for the 2021 Delegate Assembly scheduled for May 7-8, 2021 to be held virtually.
During the virtual 2021 Delegate Assembly, delegates will be able to debate items of importance to AEA. These items could include potential amendments to the AEA Constitution, Bylaws, Resolutions, or Legislative Platform. These items could also include New Business Items that relate to the operation or program areas of AEA.
Members may access documents for the upcoming Delegate Assembly by requesting access to the “2021 AEA Delegate Assembly” group on NEA edCommunities. Log into www.mynea360.org and search for “2021 AEA Delegate Assembly”. Once you select the group, click “Ask to Join” and your request to be added will be responded to shortly.

Registration for Delegate Assembly
Online registration is now open. All delegates are required to register in advance of the Delegate Assembly.
Delegate Assembly Elections
The AEA Board of Directors on March 6 approved conducting elections after the conclusion of the Delegate Assembly. Elections will be held for a proposed amendment to the AEA Bylaws as well as for open positions on the AEA Board of Directors and AEA Fund for Public Education Council.
As noted in the 2021 Delegate Assembly Special Rules, elections will be conducted electronically using eBallot. The first round of voting will begin on Tuesday, May 11 at 7 AM MST through 5 PM MST on Monday, May 17. If additional rounds of voting are necessary, those election dates will be announced to delegates.
