March4 Schools Heat Wave at the Capitol Printer Friendly Page

Teachers, parents, and taxpayers have been at the Capitol every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in June. We stopped a bad budget on July 1 and helped replace it with a temporary budget fix. The Legislature expected us to all go away and leave them alone, but we made it extra hot for them instead.

Join us to stop the massive cuts to education and present options to invest in Arizona's future.

July 29 Schedule:

  • 12:30 p.m. - Meet on the mall between the House and Senate for the days instructions and activities.
  • Activities could include a protest and/or legislative contacts.
  • Participants will be inside and out of the heat most of the day.
  • There will be a briefing with a Lobbyist from the March4Schools Coalition.
  • Activities will vary based on what the legislature and governor are doing.
  • Come down later in the day if you can't be there by 12:30 p.m. The legislature will try to pass a budget and will be there until late at night, unless we stop them first.
