Voucher & Tuition Tax Credit Watch Printer Friendly Page

The AEA opposes schemes such as voucher and tuition tax credits for private schools because they drain needed resources from our public schools. Arizona public schools rank 50th in the nation in per pupil expenditures for public schools. These schemes are based on a false premise that private schools provide a better education than public schools. Vouchers and tuition tax credits weaken the separation of church and state that is so important to our form of government.
