Legislative Forum on ELL Funding
Recently, Senator Paula Aboud organized an ELL panel featuring herself and Rep. Pete Hershberger to present the different perspectives on the issue of ELL funding. Representing the state’s perspective was Public Schools Chief Tom Horne, ELL Task Force member Martha Garcia Dugan, and ADE Associate Superintendent for Accountability John Stollar. Representing the teachers’ and school district’s perspective was AEA President John Wright, Mesa Unified School District Superintendent Deb Duvall, Sunnyside Unified School District Superintendent Manuel Isquierdo, and Payson Unified School District Superintendent Casey O’Brian.
