AEA has more than 150 local affiliates working with school districts across Arizona. Local affiliates negotiate with their districts on issues like salary, benefits, working conditions, and the learning conditions of students. Each affiliate is assigned to an AEA regional office where a staff person, called an Organizational Consultant, is charged with helping the local be more successful and effective.
